Khagendra Thapa, Ph. D. is a professor and Program Coordinator of Surveying Engineering Program at Ferris State University. He joined the Program in 1987. He teaches courses in Surveying, Geodesy, and Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS). Dr. Thapa holds M.S. and Ph.D. in Geodetic Science and Surveying from The Ohio State University. He also earned M.Sc. E. in Surveying Engineering from University of New Brunswick, Canada. He graduated from University of East London with B.Sc. (Hons.) CNAA in Land Surveying Sciences. In addition, he earned B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Dr. Thapa was awarded Michigan Association of Governing Board (MAGB) distinguished professor award in 1996. He was also awarded Provost Award for Excellence by Ferris State University in 1997.
