The Timme Travel Grant Program represents a portion of monies derived from an endowment established by Abigail Smith Timme and designated for the Timme Center for Teaching Excellence, now known as the Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning (FCTL). At the time of its inception, the Center was established to "encourage and support the enrichment of teaching and learning skills."
We are currently accepting applications for Timme Travel Grants for travel between June and November 2016. The deadline for applications is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016. The next application period will be in the fall for travel from December 2016 through May 2017. Please watch your University Wide Notices for further information.
During this open application period, interested faculty should complete and submit the Timme Travel Grant application (Word doc) to your Department Chair or Head for his or her approval. Approval via e-mail is required. Once approved, the Chair or Head, in turn, must forward the application to the Dean of the College or other appropriate supervisor. Again, approval via e-mail is required. If approved, the Dean or other supervisor must forward the application electronically with his or her approval to Laurie Daniels (firstname.lastname@example.org).
