EDUCATIONAL COUNSELING AND DISABILITIES SERVICES invites you to participate in six academic advising for student success seminars.

Seminars include six different topics and are facilitated by educational counselors and other skilled Ferris representatives. Look for our postcards for each seminar, which will highlight learning outcomes.

Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning Academic Advising Seminars Professional Development Incentive

The Professional Development Incentive (PDI) program is available through the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL).  PDI of $350 is available to participating faculty and instructional staff who:


Travel Support

Faculty or instructional staff who wish to present a paper, lead a workshop, provide a poster or other appropriate conference presentation, at one of the advising conferences noted below will be eligible for a $850 Travel Block Grant.

For faculty who wish to participate in one of the conferences without giving a presentation, a $700 Travel Block Grant is available.

Additional funding to support travel may be available through the Educational Counseling and Disabilities Services Department.

Advising Conferences:

  • National Academic Advising Association annual conference (October)
  • Michigan Academic Advising Association (May)
     

Other advising-type conferences may be considered.
