  1. On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Start and then click Run.



  2. In the Run dialog box, type winver, and click OK.



  3. A dialog box opens, displaying the version of MS Windows you are running. To close the window, click OK.

  4. If you see: "x64 Edition" then you have the 64-bit Edition of Windows XP.
