About Our Themed Living Environments
Ferris State University Housing offers many different themed residence hall environments designed to meet the needs of our students. Students have the option of living in a hall with specific programming if they choose. Those students, who do not choose a specific programmed hall, will be assigned to a traditional residence hall, based on room availability.
Keep in mind that students are assigned to programmed halls based on their request/acceptance (see “New Students for 2009-2010” on the back of Housing & Dining Contract Signature Card), the date their Housing & Dining Contract Signature Card and $200 contract guarantee are received by the University, and room availability.
We are proud of the programmed hall choices we offer students. Below is a short description of the programmed halls and/or floors.

Private Rooms
In most private room situations, two students of the same gender each have their own room and share a bathroom. There is an additional $900 private room charge per semester. Please note that some private rooms contain two sets of furniture. Student room furniture must remain in the residence hall room. Under no circumstances will the University remove or store student room furniture. Please be advised that students assigned to a private room may be assigned a roommate in instances where most rooms in the residence halls are full and there are students needing placement. In all cases, final determination of room assignments rests with the University. It is not possible to honor all assignment requests; however, every attempt is made to do so. We do not discriminate based on age, religion, race, color, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability.
