East Campus Housing
Watch us grow! With the close of the Spring 2009 semester the era of East Campus Apartments came to a close.  Buildings A-G east of Ives Street and north of Damascus Drive saw their last students check out during the second week of May.  Ferris State students, faculty and families have called these buildings home for nearly 50 years.  They are being retired to make way for the newest concept of campus housing, the East Campus Suites, opening Fall 2010. Located on the same east campus property, with the quiet wooded surroundings, the East Campus Suites will surely become the housing of choice for generations of Ferris State students to come.

East Campus Suites will neither be residence halls nor apartments.  Rather, this new style of on-campus housing combines the best of both worlds.  Each of the three 3-story buildings, yet to be named, will be home to 100 students.  Each building will have 4 entrances located on both the front and back and on either end of the building.  Exterior doors will be locked 24/7 utilizing the same card swipe access and blue light/call box phone security system as our residence halls.  Each building will house 24 4-bedroom suites and 2 2-bedroom suites. Every student will have their own furnished bedroom and will share a full bathroom with one other student. A furnished living room and full kitchen compliment the feeling of home each suite provides

Like our on-campus apartments, the East Campus Suites are designed as 9½ month single student housing for the fall and spring semesters.  East campus suites are for students who will be 20 years of age or older by the first day of classes in the fall semester. Students living on campus (apartments and residence halls) during the 2009-2010 academic year will have priority to be the first to live in the East Campus Suites starting in the 2010-11 academic year.
